Partnership between EuroGames and Budapest officially sealed

EuroGames_Hans_van_DopAugust 2010 | Talks between the Dutch and Hungarian bodies of EuroGames had been going on for a while, but on Monday August 19th their collaboration was officially sealed by signing the contracts. The European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF) will also join the partnership.

Rotterdam will host the 2011 Eurogames followed by Budapest in 2012. The Dutch organisation boasts a lot of knowledge when it comes to organising the EuroGames. Back in 1989 the EGLSF was founded in The Hague, followed by the first EuroGames there three years later. The partnership between Holland and Hungary is based on the theme ‘a bridge between east and west’, enabling Budapest to use the knowledge of the Rotterdam organisers.
