Registration on track!
Perhaps due to the beautiful weather in the past few days one realizes that the EuroGames are closer than ever. Only 4 months and they're here! But there can be no EuroGames without participants! Thus the question: How's it going with your registration?
Women
The goal of the organization is to attract some 6,000 athletes to Rotterdam. As of March 15th, we had 2,300 registered participants. So, the registration is on track. In the past, registration for the EuroGames around this time was only at 25 percent, currently we are at 30 percent. We have about 1,400 men and 900 women who have registered. This is a nice mix, since we usually have fewer women than men who participate in the EuroGames. This is something we would like to see change in Rotterdam!
Nationalities
Additionally, we have also set a goal for the different nationalities represented by the competitors. The number of registered competitors from South and Eastern Europe is a bit disappointing. Oddly enough, there are not really a lot of registered participants from neighbouring Belgium. The ambassadors are doing their best to change this.

We are on schedule, but the maximum number of participants is still a long way away. The registrations for soccer, tennis, badminton and water polo are great. Judo, wrestling, jeu de boules, bridge and chess are far behind. The EuroGames promotion team is doing its best to recruit more competitors. Saskia Prosch, explains later in this newsletter, how you can become a member of the promotion team. And for those of you who have still not registered: Show Your COLOUR!
